Following a string of stellar releases in recent months, including his ‘Stranger Than Paradise’ EP on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden label, Turkish rising star Erdi Irmak serves up his own very unique take on the original. In the words of Proton Radio, who exclusively premiered the remix, Erdi ‘expertly melds warm melodic textures and dynamic progressive design’. At 118bpm he takes things more downtempo in a remix that exudes melodic lushness.
The second remix comes courtesy of Brazilian producer Luciano Scheffer. He stays true to the vibe of the original in terms of the elements used but injects his own killer groove, building up to the big melodic highs that has seen the track become a staple in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo throughout the South American summer with plays at the Ressonancia festival in São Paulo, the legendary Warung, Punta del Este, and La Feria in Valparaiso.
Completing proceedings is a second original track, ‘Pacific Dawn’. Powered by an energetic bassline and emotive Nord lead line, this one takes things deeper to round off the EP!
